Albright Advisory takes a holistic approach to the capital raising process. More than a “rolodex”, we seek to provide our clients with all the elements they need to effectively engage institutional allocators.
Step 1
Our first step is understanding the manager and what makes them different: what is their background, why this strategy, what is their edge or the inefficiency they seek to exploit, what differentiates their process, what are their performance goals?
Step 2
Next we review how the firm’s message is being received and how it can be improved: is it easily understood, what are common objections, are examples or case studies needed, can data be used to support the manager’s thesis?
Ongoing
An ongoing and parallel element of the process is assessing the competitive landscape: who are the manager’s competitors, how are they positioned, how does performance compare, how do fees compare?
Development
Armed with all this information, we develop new messaging and materials that clearly articulate and differentiate the firm, the fund, and its performance profile.
Campaign
Finally, and this is where access and knowledge come in, we execute a campaign that targets investors we believe would have an interest in the strategy and the firm. A key element throughout the process is engaging the consulting community.
It’s the entirety of this approach, not one element alone, which allows us to actively and effectively engage institutional investors on behalf of our clients.
